Since 2005, Sugarpearl has been CNY's premiere indie coffee house, serving only the finest french-pressed coffee in town with a growing calendar of art, music, media and energy not to be missed.
Sugarpearl was established by Phyllis Vadala and Nancy Swarts. Shortly after purchasing a home in the diverse Hawley-Green neighborhood, Phyllis and Nancy decided to re-invest in the area which they loved.
With a passion for espresso, and community revitalization, Sugarpearl and Hawley-Green are a natural fit. This companionship continues as both Sugarpearl and her adopted neighborhood continue to grow, expand and surprise!
Sugarpearl was recently nominated in Syracuse New Times for best vegan fare 2008.
